Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2019's "Terminator: Dark Fate".

James Cameron returns to the franchise as producer for this newest installment in the "Terminator" franchise.

In "Dark Fate", Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) learns that she is being targeted by a dangerous and near-indestructible REV-9 liquid Terminator (Gabriel Luna). On the run, she meets Grace (Mackenzie Davis), a human-cyborg hybrid sent from the future, as well as the legendary, war-torn survivor Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), who both agree to protect her against the relentless enemy. Dani soon discovers that she is the savior of the world in the future war against the Terminators.

"Dark Fate" is a very entertaining film and certainly a step in the right direction after the previous 3 films, "Genysis", "Salvation" and "Rise of the Machines", proved to be highly underwhelming and disappointing. "Dark Fate" is actually a direct sequel to "T2", disregarding everything after the second film, and continuing the story from there. And while it's certainly not as great as the first and second films in the franchise, it is a refreshing reboot that manages to capture more of the spirit of the franchise, with great performances (especially from its returning stars Schwarzenegger and Hamilton, and newcomer Davis), thrilling action sequences and visual thrills.

It's a fun, exciting blockbuster, and it's certainly worth a watch, especially for fans of the franchise! Go check it out!
